This chapter shall not apply to the naming or renaming of buildings, other fixed facilities, or public places which were donated to the borough contingent upon assignment of a specific name or to any building, other fixed facility, or a public place constructed or purchased from money or property donated to the borough for the specific purpose of securing a name for the facility. Further, this chapter does not apply to the naming of streets, roads, and sidewalks.

This chapter shall apply to all buildings, other fixed public facilities, and places owned by the Kodiak Island Borough and operated by the borough or the Kodiak Island Borough School District. [Ord. FY2009-16 §3, 2009].
