Section 2902.6 of the Uniform Building Code (1997 Edition) is amended by adding the following at the end of this section:

Dwellings erected outside the areas encompassed by Kodiak Island Borough Official zoning maps, the Kodiak urban area and Bells Flats and Russian Creek Alaska subdivision on land zoned “Conservation” or “Wildlife Habitat” are exempted from the provisions of this section, provided the parcel of land is five acres or greater in area.
