A. The building code board of appeals shall consist of seven members who are qualified by experience and training to pass upon matters pertaining to building construction. All seats shall be filled by current members of the architectural review board. Appointments will be made in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 2.100 KIBC.

B. The borough manager or designee shall be an ex officio member of the board.

C. All appointees shall serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority.

D. The members of the board shall be appointed for staggered three-year terms.

E. Four members of the board of appeals shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of any business. For any affirmative action on quasi-judicial matters by the board of appeals, there must be a concurring vote of four members.
