A. Local roads are designed to provide direct access to individual properties and include cul-de-sacs.

B. Collector roads are designed to move traffic from local roads to arterial roads.

C. Arterial roads are designed to move through traffic at moderate speeds to and from major traffic generators or into and/or out of a community.

D. Alleys are designed to provide secondary access to areas proposed for multiple dwellings, commercial or industrial uses, or subdivisions where service access, rear parking, or loading is desirable.

E. Private roads are designed to provide access to individual properties while remaining in private ownership. Private roads do not include driveways. [Ord. 90-15 §2, 1990].
