The requirements of this chapter for the provision of off-street parking and loading areas, with the exception of KIBC 17.175.080(I), shall not apply within the designated core area of downtown Kodiak. The purpose of this exemption is to establish off-street parking regulations that are consistent with the provisions of the central commercial designation of the UR-19 urban renewal plan. The exemption area is bounded by Rezanof Drive West, Center Avenue, Marine Way East, and Marine Way West and is defined as blocks 4 through 13 of New Kodiak Subdivision.
